THE CARRY ON ACTIVITY
During 1999 – 2006 all our objectives establish by annual
activity plane were focused on environmental protection, education, and
culture and promoting cultural values. In all our actions are involved
children from Petrosani primary school.
I. ECOLOGICAL ACTION
- Remediation
of drinking water source: alpine lakes from Parang mountain, Jiul de
est, Taia, Jiet, Maleia, Jigoreasa, rivers
- Remediation
of Mures River and superior course of Strei River in annual
expeditions
- Remediation
action in monastery’s areas (Lainici, Prislop, Tismana.)
- Remediation
of tourist areas: Parang, Lunca Florii, Groapa Seaca
II. Actions for promoting,
informing environmental protection and ecological principles:
- Printing
postal cards and brochures on environmental protection theme
- Organizing
seminaries, meetings with main halls, Environmental Guard regarding
pollution control
- Collaborating
with ability organisms
Were
realized studies together with children, in the same hydrological purpose
(preventing and controlling aquatic pollution). The studies regard Mures
River pollution, with qualified people from Water House and PAEM from Alba
Iulia, biological studies together with people from Focal Center for
Biodiversity Monitoring and Conserving Cluj. All practical and theoretical
activities were developed under the same proverb: "If you respect
Creation, you respect the Creator". In 18 December 2001 when his
excellence Johnatan Scheele visited Petrosani city, it was presented the
exposition regarding aquatic environment protection, which was in the
superlative appreciated. Association activities found there self's in over
50 articles from central and local press and also in the TV shows diffused
by TVR1, PRO TV, and local TV.
Year
2003 we set down a complex documentation to Hunedoara deputy Ioan Rus, for
initialing a project regarding PET administration. Between 1999-2005 years,
the association collaborating with primary schools, main halls, children
club, National Coal Company, Water administration from Jiu Valley, organized
photo’s and paint’s expositions in Germany (Borg-Saarland and
Schiltach-Black Forest). These kinds of expositions were realized also at
Romanian community from Budapesta, Art High school from Alba Iulia, Sebes,
Petresti. In 2003 we diversified popularizing actions regarding water and
environmental protection by publishing in the local press of some
Ecological Cards. These cards cached aspects of environment damage and
answer request from ability people for our notices.
Ecological
Calendar Day consecrated to Earth Planet and to all creatures, forests,
water, faunas, wet areas, was marked by articles, communications, and local
mass media signals. Between promoting means of ecological principles were:
diffusing materials and studies on environmental domain:
- "Guide
for knowing the nature for children" adapted for our
Association, edited by dr. Eng. Cristian FELEA;
- Extras
from "Report regarding world situation" WorldWatch
Institute 2003;
- "Developing
human riverside society in history, on Mures River"-study
publish in France, Italy, Spain, realized by 2 children PetroAqua
members, from secondary school;
- "Study
regarding PET administration on world wide plan" (diffused at
primary school);
- Ecology
and human contemporary society - base notions (special edited for
children) .
In
conformity with the principles mentioned in CV a special objective was the
preoccupation for cultural and historic patrimony reclamations and
conservation, beginning with 2002. In this context was rehabilitated the
creation of plastic artist Ladislau Schmidt (local artist). Concrete, it
was put in value a high dimension fresco representing mining history, in danger
to be destroyed. It was put in appeal room of Dalja Mine who was close and
demolished. This special creation was rehabilitated and placed in the main
hall of National Coal Company. The association also helped CNH to put on
pedestal, in Company's court, Avram Iancu's bust recovered from Tebea mine
(also closed).
Also
it was publish an album suggestively entitled "Tradition and
continuity in the burning stone country". The material presents a
historical monograph of Jiu Valley written by a great plastic artist
LADISLAU SCHMIDT. His creations (statuary groups, bas - relief's,
engravings) restore the tension and work effort of miners. A photography
epoch set and some actual pictures of Petrosani and it are around, with the
beauty of Parang Mountain illustrate a fabulous tourist potential for the
area. Through this album Petro Aqua wanted to contribute to a knowing step
of Jiu Valley history, of its social and artistic develop.

2006
For
tourism promotion beginning with March 2006, the association started
actions for including the area Cetatea and Bolii Cave in the tourism
circuit. In the first stage the association realized:
- Reclamation
of perimeter from upstream area of cave. Arrange the access way from
Jupaneasa village road to cave.
- Repairing
the first bridge who make the connection with the main amphitheatre
from the cave
- Cleaning
cave's walls.
- Planting
bushes in erosion areas near cave's entrance for avoiding the sliding
and river silting
- Cave
electrification - this will assure good conditions for visiting the
cave and organizing cultural activities in the main amphitheatre (
placed at 75 m from cave's entrance);in this way will be revived an
old tradition (over 70 years traditions)
- Putting
panels in the area, with information about the objective history,
cave's evolution, visiting program, etc.
For
realizing this first stage from the general project started at 20.03.2006
we received help from Lupeni SALVAMONT, who have professionals and
sacrifice spirit. On initiative of Petrosani and Banita mayors in collaboration
with PETRO AQUA association were establish the next stages of remediation
program. This will be spread out in 3 years and we hope that the financing
will be assured by including it in PHARE program - "Economic and
Social Cohesion, Big Projects for Regional Infrastructure". First
PETRO AQUA association solicited to administrator of National Park
Gradistea Muncel the custody of natural protected area Bolii Cave and we
have good chances to obtain it.
The
first part of project was finalized at 01 May 2006 by organizing a public
manifestation, renewing over 70 years the traditional meetings On this
event presented also in local and central press participated 500 persons.On
this occasion, in the cave occurred a very special and emotional event -
celebrating a wedding between 2 young association collaborators. This event
also presented in local and central press and national television
determined a high tourist afflux and the interest of tourism companies. In
the biggest interior room called "Dancing and concert room" the
association organized the ecumenical concert " A CAPELLA " and
also a glass icons exposition realized by a plastic artist member of German
Democratic Forum. In this way we valorized the special cave acoustic.
At
first of June 2006 the association organized at Bolii Cave, the sixths
edition of tourist orientation competition for children. In 19.08.2006
PETRO AQUA organized in Bolii's Cave with water from Jupaneasa River the
baptism of a boy. The god father and mother were 2 association members. The
god father carried down from mountain in rappel a candle and flowers and
gave them to the people from the mouth of the cave and from 1 m high took
the baby in his arms and carried down to the ground. The religious service
was celebrated inside the cave, in front of Sf. Varvara's icon. The cave
was illuminated by 200 candles and at event were over 50 people. The food
for the baptism was prepared in cast iron kettle and was served in the
middle of nature. In the context for valorizing the touristy potential of
Jiu Valley and Hunedora County, ZDF a German television company chose as
filming location for some sequences form Nibelungi 's Legend historic
movie, Bolii's Cave. The filming team called the cave "the diamante
from National Road 66". Installing the Saint Trinity in Parang
Mountain offered the occasion of renewing the festivals tradition of local
people in Parang Mountain, after 60 years.
2008

At
first of May 2007 the association organized at Bolii Cave,
the second edition of the cultural traditional meeting together with
National Hard Coal Company and Lupeni Salvamont.
At
first of June 2007 the association
with Petrosani city hall, organized at Bolii Cave,
the seventh edition of tourist orientation competition for children.
During
the International project "Maros Forum 2007”, Petro Aqua ‘s
rafters organized at 30.06.2007, a traditional wedding bonded forever the
life of our two rafter colleagues. The civil ceremony of the wedding took
place at the Burjuc village’s Hall, and the religious ceremony at the Tisa’s rafters church. Members of the Petro Aqua
Association were dress in national costumes which colored the event.
   
In 2007 we organized visits with group of pupils from Petrosani primary and high
schools at laboratories from Petrosani University (Mineralogy
laboratory, Paleontology laboratory and Utile mineral substances laboratory
) an visits and cleaning the paleontology sites from Salatruc Valley.
 
Participation on 21 of November 2007
at National Seminary between the project financed by Europeean Union ”EU villages - meeting points for citizens in
Europe” with studies: Why cries the mountains, and The renascence
of Bolii ‘s Cave complex and a photo exposition with theme: Involving
PetroAqua in local community's life for a clean environment for our kids
În this project were involved
regions from Sweden - Smedjebachen, CIPRU – Larnaca, IRLANDA – Kerry and ROMÂNIA
– Petroșani. Involving PetroAqua in local community's life for
solving some of environmental problems was also presented during the same
project at the International Seminary organized in Cyprus in December 2007
  
The association objectives for
2008 are included in Action Plan for 2008 and have their propose
elaborating long viable projects on environmental domain, promoting
ecological principles, keeping cultural and history traditions and
preparing young generation for knowing European Union requirements.
