Fiscal code for registry: 11.92.3141 from 8.07.1999 Patrimony: 7000 RON (2000 Euro) PETRO AQUA PETRO AQUA association continues the objectives proposed by the ex Nautical Tourism Circle from S.A. TRANSUTIL S.A. PETROSANI and also has traditional preoccupies like expedition on Mures, Olt and Siret rivers, and Romanian expedition "Dacia 2050" on Black Sea in 1978, with over 480 marine miles and over 4600 km on Romanian rivers. The president of association is Mr. Imre SZUHANEK - member of expedition " Dacia 2050 " who in 1978 accomplish a 480 marine mile on Black Sea in 25 days. This expedition with 6 members was the first in Romania and became European record. With this occasion it was filmed a material for a documentary awarded by Jacques Yves Costeau and Thor Heyerdall at the Riga Festival. Promoting ecological principles and keeping the environment clean, specially the aquatic one, through durable programs.

ABOUT US

Being a NGO, the most important objective is promoting and defending ecological principles through practical actions, educational activities with children and developing civically spirit, integration of gypsy children and children with social problems.

AFFILIATION TO INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION IN DOMAIN AND OBTAINED AWARDS:

The association is the only Romanian association member from 2000 on Rafters International Organization (cultural organization). The purpose of this organization is to study develop of human society near rivers and preserving the tradition and protecting water. In 2002 together with Union Museum from Alba Iulia was organized the first seminar with international participation (Spain, Italy, Germany and Moldavia Republic) regarding human society development near rivers. Year 2003 was a real triumph. Our project "WATER TIME, OUR TIME" with the purpose of children education in nature spirit (is a 5 year project) won the big prize " Henry Ford Conservation Awards" one of the most ample and prestigious program from the world in environmental protection domain and international and national cultural patrimony conservation. The prize was present by Mr. Johnatan Scheele and academician Dan Berindei at Cotroceni Palace. A special fact consisted in the amiability of Romanian King Mihai and of Prince Albert de Monaco in responding and appreciating the artistic activity of children from our association.In 2004 the association obtained the first prize in environmental protection domain with occasion of Environmental World Wide Day celebrated at Deva Culture House
